New Provincial Study on Local Health Services

The provincial government is taking a closer look at the future of health services in the Quinte Area, particularly at Trenton Memorial Hospital.

The Minister of Health and Long Term Care , Doctor Eric Hoskins, has directed his ministry to launch a feasibility study, focusing on co-locating services at T-M-H.

Northumberland-Quinte West M-P-P Lou Rinaldi says the study will begin today, and ministry officials have been directed to visit Trenton Memorial to move the process forward.

It will complement the recommendations of OUR TMH that a veterans health centre be located at the hospital, along with the findings of a committee chaired by Glenn Rainbird, and should be completed in a matter of months.
